Our colorful heritage began in 1910 when Ernest D. Grady opened one of the first commercial sign shops in Charlotte, NC. Grady Sign Company was one of the first sign shops in the southeast to offer neon signs and illuminated signs to its varied clientele. In 1965 Zeke Foard acquired the company and renamed it SignArt, a name more befitting to the type of architectural custom sign work the company had become known for. SignArt developed a national clientele that included BB&T, Wachovia Bank (First Union National Bank) and Bank of America (NCNB). In 1997 Larry Johnson acquired the company with the vision of focusing on the company’s strengths, quality service and quality architectural sign products with a desire to meet the needs of our valued clientele. In 2007 Randy Souther became a partner and has been at SignArt since 1996. Today SignArt operates out of our facility in Charlotte, NC . From this facility our professional staff of managers, designers, craftsmen and field technicians are able to provide turn key services for our national, regional and local business partners
